New Build Garden Design, New Romney, Kent

This new build home in New Romney is a great size but the owner had no idea how to make the most of it and link the area to the rear of the garage. The angles made the garden feel much smaller than it actually was. I have a style survey which I go through with my clients and it was clear that his preferred style was contemporary with straight lines. Read on to see learn more about this garden design in Kent.

My design solution was to create spaces on the diagonal. By having the longest length of lawn at 45 degrees to the house it led your eye down the garden, making it clear from the house that the garden continued round the corner. The patio by the house was increased and a second seating area with pergola was included. By having the planting borders running at angles the attention is diverted from the angled perimeter and the drawn to the trees, shrubs as focal points.

The garden is looking great, it will look very special once all the planting has grown. The owner has a garden with the wow factor that matches the style of his home and links the two perfectly.
